When I started at Furniture Bank, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Though I’ve always loved building businesses from scratch, I had never imagined how fulfilling building a charity with its own business could be.
Heading into year two I find myself balancing work across development, partnerships, client services, furniture donors, warehouse, trucking logistics, a big healthy range of technologies, hiring to grow our awesome team, and helping to solve challenges like ‘how do we take the Furniture Bank model across Canada?’. I’ve loved every minute working at Furniture Bank.
When I’m not working, I’m spending time with Tamara (my wife) and kids, teaching statistics at our local college, and/or having a nice strong coffee.
