The first major fundraiser for Furniture Bank, uniquely serving GTA since 1998

This fundraising event showcased the designs of local artists donating their talents and their time to create an extraordinary work of art with ordinary chairs from our warehouse.  About 375 guests were in attendance at the silent auction showcasing the designs of 31 artists with eight special chairs being auctioned live with guest auctioneer Jack Layton.

The event was held at the Steam Whistle Brewery with hostess Susan Hay from Global Toronto between from 6:00 – 9:30 on Thursday, October 21st, 2010 with a variety of mouth-watering treats and drinks from Feast Your Eyes Catering and Events.

Entertainment was provided by Juno nominated Kenny V and  James Biss all evening long, making this event lively, remarkable and amusing.

The event was a tremendous success and is getting rave reviews.  Thanks to our sponsors, designers, attendees and the volunteers! With your support, we can continue, and even expand our ability, to furnish homes for families in need.

It was the vision of the Furniture Bank Fundraising and marketing committee to use this event to raise funds and enhance our profile in the community in a lively and entertaining atmosphere.
