With every dollar you donate, Furniture Bank can do one of two things: 1. Ensure that our program reaches as many families and individuals as possible. 2. Direct your money towards the purchase of furniture and furnishings - we are able to buy in bulk from our friends in the furniture industry to help maintain inventory levels. Donation of Securities Donations of publicly traded securities to registered charities are exempt from capital gains tax. Donors receive a charitable tax receipt for the full market value of the securities. A planned gift is best made with the counsel of one's financial advisor, attorney, accountant or insurance professional. Supporting Furniture Bank reflects the core values of your company and creates an opportunity to involve your employees in a worthy cause. A monetary donation enables Furniture Bank to supply furniture to those in need. Help us Help Others. Financial contributions are also doubly important. Your donation also allows us to continue to restore dignity to those in need by reestablish a home. It can also support capital projects such as trucks to pickup and deliver furniture, or equipment and systems to manage our operation. For larger donations and program or event sponsorship, opportunities may include naming rights at our facilities and logo recognition.
