Most charitable organizations rely on volunteers to fulfill their missions and Furniture Bank is no different.Without our volunteers, we would have to reduce the scope of our operations. Thus, the success outlined in our first two key metrics flows from our success in recruiting and sustaining our volunteer work force.
In 2010, our generous volunteers contributed over 16,000 hours to Furniture Bank. Assuming we would have had to pay $10 per hour for the equivalent work, this amounts to savings of over $160,000.
