Another Successful Make It Show 2011On Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5, 2011, The Gladstone Hotel in Toronto played host to the 2nd annual Make It Arts & Crafts Show.· The show and fundraiser featured a variety of works for sale created by 31 local artists, designers and craftspeople. Guests at the Saturday night opening party were treated to music from local DJs The Vinyl Den and Matt Gracie, and also enjoyed rounds of Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots for charity and refreshments.
This year at Make It, 500 visitors shopped in 7 different artist studios in the Gladstone Gallery. ·Make It was moved to a larger venue for 2011 so that more of Toronto’s great local talent could be accommodated, including many vendors whose work involves reclaimed and repurposed materials. ·Vendors showcased a wide range of items including paintings, furniture, jewelry, beauty products, baked goods and one-of-a-kind home and fashion accessories.

Vendors and local businesses donated products and services to our raffle and Make It was able to raise $800 for Furniture Bank - a Toronto-based charity that furnishes homes for families in need by providing gently used household furnishings from donors to their client base.
