Another Successful Make It Show
On Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5, 2011, The Gladstone Hotel in Toronto played host to the 2nd annual Make It Arts & Crafts Show.·
The show and fundraiser hosted by Define Events and Cherry Bomb Vintage featured a variety of works for sale created by 31 local artists, designers and craftspeople. Guests at the Saturday night opening party were treated to music from local DJs The Vinyl Den and Matt Gracie, and also enjoyed rounds of Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots for charity and refreshments.
At Make It 2011, 500 visitors shopped in 7 different artist studios in the Gladstone Gallery. Make It was moved to a larger venue for its second year so that more of Toronto’s great local talent could be accommodated, including many vendors whose work involves reclaimed and repurposed materials. Vendors showcased a wide range of items including paintings, furniture, jewelry, beauty products, baked goods and one-of-a-kind home and fashion accessories.
