Hailey
Hailey, referred to us from Investing in Neighborhoods, needed to learn how to manage and improve her customer service behaviors in order to be employable in a long term position. She is currently in an on the job training program with us as a cashier and clients services representative under close supervision while working with clients. Her supervisors guide her into making better decisions when customer service problems arise. She is also earning job experience as a cashier, developing the proper techniques for processing transactions using debit and credit terminals, and basic accounting and computer skills, all transferable skills into a wider range of employment opportunities.
In addition, she does some part time on the job training in our call centre, performing sales transactions by giving estimates, and responding to customer complaints, all within a supervised and controlled environment ensuring a better chance for success.
When Hailey completes the program placement she will have something on her resume that shows she has completed a contract position in customer service. She will have developed stronger people skills and the ability to adapt better in stressful situations, with improved verbal communication skills, and additional functional skills i.e. computer, point of sale equipment, telephony software and organizational or filing skills. These are transferable in a wider range of employment opportunities where she can now find success.
