NGARIPUENgaripue also arrived from Namibia and has been a volunteer at Furniture Bank since February 2011. She, too, is hoping to advance her education in economics at a local university. After arriving in the GTA in December, she was a resident at Covenant House and has recently been placed in housing in the east end of Toronto and as such, is also one of our clients. Ngaripue is working to get her work permit and study permit and hopes her past experience in retail will help her secure a full time job to support her pursuit of post-secondary education. A warm and friendly young lady, she was delighted to meet become friends with her fellow compatriot, Chantal, to ease her transition into Toronto.
