Make It Arts & Crafts Show was a one-day showcase held on Saturday, June 5th, 2010 at Beaver Hall Gallery at 29 McCaul St., Toronto, Ontario, highlighting works for sale by local artists, designers and craftspeople. Proceeds from entrance donations and a raffle of the participants’ work benefited the Furniture Bank.

The show featured a variety of works for sale created by local artists and designers. Guests viewed and purchased unique items from over 15 vendors. “Vendors showcased a wide range of item including paintings, furniture, jewelry, clothing, one-of-a-kind housewares and accessories. Plus, they enjoyed tasty baked goods and were treated to music from local DJ Matt Gracie. Participants donated pieces of their work to be raffled off with funds donated to the Furniture Bank. We plan on making this an annual event,” explained organizer Kiran Thind, a local furniture designer.

Linda Sicoli, a representative from the Furniture Bank, was on hand throughout the day to promote the organization. “Furniture Bank is delighted that Make It is supporting them while showcasing some unique arts and crafts,” said Sicoli.

ArtisanThe event raised $600 for Furniture Bank and was a great success for all of the artists involved.
