What do we do with your furniture donations?

What do we do with your donations

Furniture Bank supports marginalized and displaced families and individuals experiencing furniture poverty.

Our clients are: women and children leaving shelters, people transitioning out of homelessness, immigrants, and refugees to Canada. The furniture donations we receive go directly to the families we serve and help provide them with the dignity and security that comes with having a furnished home. Our clients do not pay for the furniture they receive. Instead, all our clients have their furniture delivered by Furniture Bank for a small service fee.

When you donate to Furniture Bank, you are not just clearing your home of your used furniture, you are providing comfort to a family in need by filling their home with essential items, and diverting perfectly usable furniture from landfill. Oh, and you get a tax receipt too! It’s what we call a win-win for all!
