Accounts Clerk – Alex [Meet Our Team]

Working home

Hello, my name is Alexander, though I prefer to be called Alex. I spend most of my free time either working out, listening to audiobooks, playing video games, or watching anime. My favorite of each in order Bench Press, Best Served Cold, Monster Hunter Series, Attack on Titan. I work inside Furniture Bank’s Accounting department as a bookkeeper.

My primary duties include but are not limited to:
 Ensuring the accuracy, validity and appropriate treatment of various expenses and revenues
 Tracking the several pre-paid expenses, fixed assets, deferred revenues, etc.
 Processing cash receipt transactions and petty cash expenses
 Reconciling petty cash

While I have only been with furniture bank for a little under 1 year, I have seen a lot of changes, growth and improvements made in the accounting department. Even though the many rapid changes/adjustments it has been quite easy to acclimatize myself to this hybrid style work environment. I normally come into the office once or twice a month to deal with any petty cash transactions. Everyone is friendly, patient and understanding I have found it a pleasure to work with everybody both remotely
and in office. I’m happy to have spent most of 2021 working here and look forward to many more happy and busy years at Furniture Bank.
