Best Friends Volunteer at Furniture Bank

Best friends Chris and Tammy began their volunteer journey at Furniture Bank in summer 2013. Every time these two dynamos step through Furniture Bank’s door, their positive energy resonates with staff, volunteers and clients – it’s truly amazing to see. Like when Chris brought in this kit for children to play with while parents are waiting for their Furniture Bank appointment (see it on Facebook). This is just one example of how these two best friends go above and beyond to help out at Furniture Bank. Hear first hand why Chris and Tammy volunteer and what makes Furniture Bank such a special place to them in this short video.

In this video, Tammy and Chris speak from their hearts about why they volunteer at Furniture Bank week after week

Video transcript:

Tammy: “We feel very appreciated by Furniture Bank. We have volunteered a lot before, and you don’t necessary get the appreciation you get  here. When you walk in to the door every week, people are so happy to see us and that’s so nice.”

Chris: “And we work with some fun people, have a lot of giggles, yet we’re doing something really rewarding and fulfilling for the public.”
We decided it was time for some meaningful volunteer work. We love furniture, helping people and having fun. Furniture Bank is the perfect fit!
