The premiere gala and silent auction for Canadian designers, famous faces, home and decor captains of industry, and interior design enthusiasts, the Chair Affair brings together the community to raise funds and awareness for Furniture Bank.
In celebration of our 20th anniversary, we’ve set an ambitious event goal to raise enough funds to furnish the homes of 18,000 families in 2018.
The event, will kick-off with a sumptuous VIP dinner for our most generous donors and their guests.
Afterward, over 600 well-heeled revelers will descend on the dance floor to party for a cause.
The silent auction will provide an exceptional selection of experience packages, which include our signature one-of-a-kind chairs.
Furniture is silent in its power. We understand the role of food, clothing and shelter in our lives but we take furniture for granted. A house is not a home without furniture and the dignity and warmth it provides.
It’s our 20th anniversary and the need is still great. There are tens of thousands of families having to choose between putting food on the table and having a bed in which to sleep. A choice, that together, we can ensure they no longer have to make.

About Chair Affair 2017
In November 2017, along with Title Sponsors, 1-800-Got Junk and You Move Me more than 600 folks were delighted to attend, The Chair Affair, an annual Furniture Bank auction-based fundraising gala in Toronto.
The event was hosted by casalife at their incredible Evans Showroom. Partner sponsor, REMAX Hallmark and many more supporters came together for an evening of art and design, auctions, great food, and fabulous music, with special guests such as Chef Michael Smith, top industry designers, and entertainment by Terence Gowan and friends.
After a successful raffle, and a silent and live auction we raised enough funds to furnish the homes of more than 300 families in time for the holidays. A winter furnished with warmth.
Thank you to all our sponsors, designers, donors and friends for a spectacular event. Chairs were transformed which is lovely, but the lives we transformed…even better.
