How to Get Furniture
Furniture Bank supports individuals and families transitioning out of crisis—including people moving out of homelessness, newcomers to Canada, those escaping violence, and youth aging out of care. To ensure we can serve those most in need, all clients must be referred by a registered partner agency.
Ask Your Current Case Worker
We work closely with over 150 social service agencies, shelters, and community organizations. If you are currently receiving support from a caseworker or housing worker, ask them if their organization is a Furniture Bank partner. If they are, they can assess your eligibility and submit a direct referral on your behalf.
Find a Partner Agency
If you are not currently connected to a social service agency, you will need to apply to one of our partners first. These agencies offer a variety of programs and services to help you settle. You can reach out to them directly to apply for their programs; once accepted, they may be able to refer you to us.
