Current volunteer opportunities:

Role + Job descriptionSuggested time commitment, requirements and basic skills
Showroom Guide
– Help Furniture Bank clients, select furnishings for their newly established homes
– Sort houseware donations for display in the showroom
– One weekday morning/week on an ongoing basis (8:30 am – 12:30 pm)
– Comfortable speaking English
– 16 years +
Warehouse Support
– Staging client orders
– Moving furniture from the warehouse onto our showroom floor
– Loading and off-loading trucks
– Accepting drop-offs and helping with our recycling program
– 1-3 times a week Monday to Friday
– Able to lift 50 lbs + of furniture
– 16 years +
Office Administration
– Support various departments with data entry, filing, bookkeeping and IT– 1-3 times a week Monday to Friday
– Comfortable with computers + experience with Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, Google Apps
– 16 years +
Marketing & Fundraising
– Help author blog posts
– Market research
– Support in developing and activating 3rd party fundraisers
– Website maintenance support
– Flexible hours on- and off-site (Opportunity to work virtually but must be able to meet timelines)
– 21 years +
