Peter Bray, PF Bray Fine Woodworking

Peter Bray is the owner/operator of PF Bray Fine Woodworking. Peter has practiced the repurposing and recycling of materials since the early 80’s, realizing that something old can be made new and therefore has value. He believes that this concept can be applied in many contexts. It is for that reason that Peter is a firm supporter of the Furniture Bank’s vision.

In recent years Peter left the industry, pursuing theological studies, however, has returned to what led him to the craft in the beginning, a passion for creating functional art pieces using the natural beauty of solid woods.

William Hampton, The Other Five

Founder and President of The Other Five custom furniture company, William is a Toronto based furniture designer and craft maker. William currently produces speculative work, custom commission furniture and installations as well as designing interior spaces.

His work consists of one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture that aims to be both sculptural or functional, ideally both.  He attempts to incorporate new techniques, processes and forms into existing furniture archetypes.  William  uses these techniques as a way to discover new structural configurations rather than as decoration.  He believes that a piece of furniture should look the way it does because of its function and construction and not because of its decoration.
