Furnishing Homes with Brand-New Comfort

Most furniture donated to Furniture Bank has had a good life in someone else’s home before finding its second chapter. Cozey does something different.

Since August 2021, the Canadian furniture company has donated brand-new sofas, loveseats, armchairs, and ottomans directly to families emerging from crisis — overstock and customer-returned items that arrive at Furniture Bank (and into people’s homes) still in factory condition. For families who have spent months in shelters or arrived in Canada with almost nothing, “brand new” isn’t just a product description. It’s a feeling they didn’t expect to have.

Cozey has been giving families that feeling for five years. Every sofa, armchair, and loveseat they’ve donated represents a company choosing to do something better with perfectly good furniture than send it to landfill — and a family receiving something they didn’t expect to have.
