  • Ensuring a clear path and pre-boxing smaller items helps keep our team on schedule and safe. Here are the critical steps to take:

    • Ensure Accessibility: Please make sure there is a clear path both inside your home and outdoors (especially during winter months) for our team to safely and quickly remove the furniture.

    • Clear the Items: All items must be ready to go. Please ensure you have removed all personal belongings from drawers, cabinets, pockets, and any storage spaces within the donated furniture. Furniture Bank is not responsible for forgotten items.

    • Box Smaller Goods: If you are donating housewares, kitchenwares, or smaller decorative pieces, they must be boxed and sealed prior to the team’s arrival. This prevents damage and allows for efficient removal.

Yes, safe and legal parking is mandatory for our team to complete the pickup.

  • Provide Legal Parking: We require safe and legal parking to accommodate our truck (which is approximately 22 ft long and 16 ft high).

If you are located in a building with an elevator, preparation is key to a successful pickup.

  • Secure the Elevator: Please ensure you have booked or secured an elevator for our team’s use during the scheduled window. We may not be able to accommodate the pickup without one being reserved.

The safety of our team members is our top priority.

  • Team Footwear Policy: Due to safety regulations, our crew members cannot remove their steel-toed work boots for any reason while carrying heavy items. If you require boot covers, please provide and secure them yourself prior to the pickup.

Before Confirmation: Discuss any required changes with our representative when they call you to finalize the booking.

After Confirmation: Please contact our call centre immediately. The on-site team will only make a change if they have space available on the truck.
