What Other Options Are There for Donations?

We’re committed to reducing waste and helping others.

At Furniture Bank, our main goal is to keep good furniture out of landfills. If we’re unable to accept a particular item, don’t worry — we’ll point you in the right direction.

Here’s what you can do if we can’t take your donation:

Local charities and reuse centres — If we’re unable to accept your item, we’ll suggest local organizations or reuse centres that might be able to take it. There are many great groups doing important work in the community who accept a variety of gently used goods.
Sustainability at heart — Our mission isn’t just about furnishing homes — it’s about promoting sustainability by keeping usable furniture and household items in circulation, rather than sending them to landfill.
Alternatives to landfill — Even if we can’t take it, your item might still be useful to someone else. We’re happy to help you find a more suitable home for it.

Looking for somewhere else to donate?
We’ve compiled a list of local charities and donation centres that accept a wide range of items — from electronics and clothing to books and baby gear.
