Hi there, my name is Sam, I am the Sales & Partnership Supervisor at Furniture Bank. I have been with Furniture Bank for over 5 years, and grateful for the opportunity I have been given, everyday.
A part of my job is creating and maintaining relationships with different professionals and organizations to better assist their clients while at the same time, managing our sales team.
It has been since mid March, we started working from home in order to help flatten the curve.
I am fortunate that within this role, I am able to get all of my work done at home with an online phone and sales system. We have changed our processes as an organization and have adapted quickly to safely accommodate both distanced and in home pick ups. With the use of technology, our Furniture Bank family stays connected whether through daily calls, zoom meetings, slack and other platforms!
While I am a full time employee at Furniture Bank, I am also a fulltime mom of a toddler named Olivia. Finding the balance continues to take time, but I am grateful to be able to stay safe at home with my family and work hard at helping those in need. I was very anxious at the beginning of Olivia making noise in the background, but quickly realized that our donors have been understanding and many times enjoy her singing in the background. She has become a part of every video conference, often mimicking my husband and I during phone calls, and making mommy and daddy “lunch” in her kitchen.
When I am not working or spending time with my family, you will likely find me drinking a strong coffee, cooking or watching some type of documentary.
