Through Furniture Bank, your donation directly reaches individuals and families in the GTA, making its way into homes within 72 hours of drop-off.

Easy walk-in donation for small items

Which types of items are accepted for walk-in donations?

Kitchenware

Donating kitchen goods, such as plates, drinkware, pots and pans, and cutlery is always welcome.

These items are consistently in high demand and are easy to handle, making them an excellent choice for walk-in donations.

Home decor, small appliances & electronics

Home decor items like lamps, mirrors, and art are ideal for walk-in donations.

Some other items you may not be thinking of include small appliances such as toasters, coffee makers and microwaves.

We are also always looking for electronics such as TV’s, radios, and DVD players.

Small furniture

Small furniture items like chairs, end tables, and nightstands are welcome for walk-in donations. Their manageable size and weight make the drop-off process swift and convenient.

By contributing these essential pieces, you’re helping make a significant impact in the lives of individuals and families in need.

Schedule your appointment for large item donations

When should I book an appointment for a donation?

Trucks & trailers

Moving trucks or trailers that require the bulk unloading and sorting of items require scheduling an appointment to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

Your appointment time allows us to reserve space at the loading dock, allocate additional staff, and guarantee that your time slot remains free of other large donation drop-offs.

Heavy & large items

Dressers, bed frames, dining tables, mattresses, couches and other bulky items often require extra assistance and space for unloading, making it essential to book an appointment for your donation drop-off.

Your appointment ensures that we can accommodate these larger items, preventing them from obstructing the path of other drop-offs or trucks, and making the process seamless for both you and our team.

10 or more items

Our guideline of 10 or more items refers to individual boxes or pieces of furniture, not the items within those boxes.

If you have, for example, 13 boxes of mixed housewares and kitchenware, we ask that you please book an appointment.

Providing us with your donation details in advance can significantly expedite the check-in process and help us make the most of your generous contribution.
