How Your Tax Receipt Works

When Furniture Bank accepts your donation, you receive an official charitable tax receipt based on its fair market value. You can claim the receipt amount on your income tax return as a charitable tax credit, which may reduce the tax you owe. It does not reimburse your pickup fee dollar-for-dollar.
